Join us in creating a brighter future.
2021 to 2030 is a critical moment in time. What we do in this period will almost certainly determine the course for humanity and our planet. Collaborative and decisive action is required to empower change at scale and contribute to a brighter future. A future of unprecedented business opportunities – finding new growth and talent, cost reductions and building greater resilience.
This is why we are proudly hosting a stop in Kent on the Zero Carbon Tour, a series of events showcasing the amazing efforts being undertaken – both locally and globally – to aid in the transition to a net zero carbon economy.
Planet Mark together with the University of Kent and Kent County Council through Low Carbon Kent share a vision, we hope to inspire more businesses, highlighting through real life practical examples that with enough ambition and active collaboration we can solve one of the most pressing challenges we face as a generation. As small and medium enterprises represent 99% of all UK limited companies, the impact these businesses can have through their own direct response and the way they can inspire others is significant.
Reducing carbon means reducing energy and consumption, finding efficiencies that save money and add to your bottom line. Businesses with strong sustainability policies have higher staff retention rates than those that don’t, and the next generation of talent increasingly cares about the social and environmental impact of their employer.
Join us at our free event on Thursday 2nd September at the University of Kent for talks, panel discussion and find out how the Low Carbon Across the South and East programme (LoCASE) can help us transition to a more sustainable economy. With lunch and networking afterwards.
Please be assured we will take necessary precautions to honour Covid safety guidelines.
Together we are creating a brighter future, you can too.
The LoCASE programme is an accessible business support programme funded by ERDF, that helps Small and Medium Enterprises optimise the use of resources and adopt eco-innovative and low carbon solutions in ways that improve business performance in terms of environmental resilience, profitability and competitiveness, all contributing to the UK’s net-zero targets. Grants are offered at a maximum of £10,000 at a 40% contribution rate.
